After the visit

# Who helps after the prescription?

The comparison continues after the first answer.

Fact file: September 17, 2026.

In brief

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) handles the review of medicines.

Find out how to contact your treating professional once the medicine has arrived. Save the contact number or messaging address along with the expected reply time and any additional charge.

In its consumer checklist reviewed on September 17, 2026, FDA flags the absence of a licensed doctor to answer questions once a delivery arrives.

## Ask for a plan you can use

- Who handles a question about the medicine?

- How do I request a review of the plan?

- How would you arrange an in-person appointment if I needed one?

- What happens to ongoing care if I stop the membership?

- Where do I request my own copy of the appointment notes?

### Separate routine replies from urgent help

Ask which concerns can wait for a routine message reply and where to get urgent help. Request that explanation in writing.

The medical-board group’s guidance calls for referral when further in-person assessment is needed.

If the answer is simply “message support”, ask who replies: the person treating you, a pharmacist who answers medicine questions, or someone who handles bills and membership.

### Make later care part of the bill

Ask whether review visits and messages are included. Put those answers beside the first-visit price, so a low opening fee does not dominate your notes.

Keep a copy of the written plan and the questions still open. At a later visit, use them to ask what has changed and what happens next.

Keep the answer.

Ask the same question of each service. Write down the answer and anything still unclear.
